JOE METTLE’S NEW SINGLE, “YE OBUA MI (MY HELP)” IS A GENUINE WORSHIP CLASSIC

Celebrated Ghanaian gospel artiste, Joe Mettle, has released a new Ga contemporary song titled “Ye Obua Mi (My Help)“.

The song, tagged “a heart’s cry of worship” and “a declaration of who the Lord is to us in some of life’s trying times” by the maverick worship leader, is scripturally sound and comes off the Psalmist’s own confession in Psalm 121:

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep…”

The song also touches on the COVID-19 pandemic, and how the Lord has been our help throughout the pandemic period.

“Ye Obua Mi (My Help)”, is the first single off Joe Mettle’s upcoming album expected to arrive just before or during his annual Praiz Reloaded flagship program slated for 27th June 2021.

Joe’s new song is nothing like any worship song you’ve heard recently. It bursts through the seams of expectations and convention with propulsive, dynamic creativity that seems to fuse both the music and the lyrics with a spark that really makes you sit up and take notice. Profound with emotion, and deeply embedded in scripture, Joe Mettle’s “Ye obua mi (My Help)” is indeed a genuine worship classic.
