THE ‘FRIENDS’ REUNION IS OFFICIALLY A GO

The long-awaited Friends reunion has finally got a release date.

The One Where They Get Back Together will be screened on HBO Max streaming service from May 27.

The unscripted, one-off special will feature the original six protagonists Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry, along with more than 15 celebrity guests who would be making cameo appearances. These include former cast members Tom Selleck, who played Monica’s former boyfriend Richard, Maggie Wheeler who played Janice, Chandler’s former partner known for her shrill laughter, David Beckham, James Corden, Malala Yousafzai, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, K-pop band BTS and Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington.

The cast will not be in character and will appear as themselves in the special, which was filmed earlier this year on Stage 24 of the Warner Bros lot in Burbank, Los Angeles, the same sound stage as the original comedy.

Friends ended its 10 year-run in 2004 and became one of the most popular television shows synonymous with 90s culture.
